Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Pickipack ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Pickipack.

2. Description of Service

Pickipack is a trip planning and packing list application that helps users organize their travel preparations. The Service allows you to create packing lists, templates, manage bags with Bag Mode, and collaborate with others through groups and shared trips.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. Subscription and Payments

The Service offers a free tier and a paid "Premium" tier with additional features and higher limits. If you subscribe to a paid tier:

  • Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Upload malicious code or content
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Use the Service to spam or harass others
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Service without permission
  • Post or share content that is offensive, discriminatory, hateful, or harmful

6. Community and Public Content

Pickipack allows you to share templates publicly with the community. When you share a template publicly, it becomes visible to all users of the Service.

You are solely responsible for the content you share publicly. The following types of public content are strictly prohibited:

  • Offensive, discriminatory, or hateful material
  • Sexually explicit or violent content
  • Content that promotes harm or illegal activity
  • Any material that is otherwise inappropriate for a general audience

We reserve the right to remove any public content and revoke sharing privileges without notice. Accounts that repeatedly violate these community guidelines may be suspended or terminated.

7. User Content and Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of any content you create using the Service (such as packing lists, templates, and trip data). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service.

The Service itself, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is owned by Pickipack and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Service without our written consent.

8. Service Tiers and Limits

The Service offers different tiers with varying features and limits (such as number of trips, bags, and templates). We reserve the right to modify these tiers, features, and limits at any time with reasonable notice. If a change materially reduces the features of your current plan, you may cancel your subscription.

9. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion, with notice where practicable. You may delete your account at any time through the account settings. Upon account deletion, your personal data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pickipack shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Sweden.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page, updating the "Last updated" date, and where appropriate, sending you an email notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
